SAC
Overview
Taylor Elementary School Accountability Committee (SAC)
What is the SAC?
The School Accountability Committee (SAC) is required by Colorado law and District 11 policy and provides an important way for families and community members to engage in how Taylor Elementary operates and plans for improvement. The SAC examines and discusses key areas of the school, including:
- Enrollment and school staffing
- Student assessment and achievement data
- School budget priorities
- Curriculum and staff professional learning
- Family and community engagement
Who serves on the SAC?
SAC membership is defined by state law and District 11 policy and includes parents or guardians, the school principal, staff, and community members. A majority of the committee—including the chair—is made up of parents or guardians.
Serving on the SAC is a meaningful way to be involved at Taylor Elementary. Members enjoy exploring data, gaining insight into how decisions are made at the school and district level, asking thoughtful questions, and sharing diverse perspectives to support the continued growth and success of our school community.
